I should imagine I’ll be laughed out of the building by people like Marco for admitting this, but: woah, Starbucks VIA is pretty good. It’s not exactly Stumptown, and it doesn’t come close to good, drip-brewed coffee, but for instant, it blows the likes of Folgers and Kenco out of the water. (Get it? “Out of the water”?) Although I do wish there was a stronger variety that wasn’t Italian; I don’t like Italian roasts.
I would like to second this. For applications where a proper cup of coffee is simply not practical or even possible (eg, camping) this stuff is great. We keep some around for when we inevitably run out of regular coffee and can’t make it to the store, as well.
